Hiking — XVII Gran Canaria Hiking Meeting in the Villa de Ingenio, Gran Canaria. Registrations open for the XVII Gran Canaria Hiking Meeting. The event will be held on May 16 and will feature 12 routes adapted to different levels that will converge in the Villa de Ingenio. More information at this link. In this context, the Senderistas Caminando Con Ingenio Sports Club will be responsible for route 9, which will run between Vargas, El Burrero, El Carrizal, the Guayadeque Ravine, Oronado, and the town center of Ingenio, with a distance of 14 kilometers and medium-low difficulty. For its part, Agility Haguayan will coordinate route 10, with start and finish in the Plaza de la Candelaria, passing through Orilla del Ratiño, Toscal, and La Berlanga, specifically designed for hikers with pets, thus incorporating one of the main novelties of this edition. All routes will converge in the Plaza de la Candelaria, where a collective lunch will be held among the participants, followed by a musical performance. As a complementary activity, on Sunday, May 17, a guided route has been scheduled to showcase the cultural heritage and museums of Ingenio, which is free of charge, but requires prior registration.
