Conference Youth for the Biosphere Campus abril-2026

Days — Youth for the Biosphere Campus at La Hoyilla Hostel, La Aldea, Gran Canaria. Youth for the Biosphere is a project subsidized by the Department of Presidency and Sustainable Mobility of the Cabildo de Gran Canaria, through the Insular Institute for the Integrated Management of World Heritage and the Gran Canaria Biosphere Reserve. Project organized, coordinated, facilitated, and executed by the Soy Mamut Cultural Association, with the support and endorsement of the Sustainability Directorate of the University of Las Palmas de Gran Canaria (ULPGC) and the collaboration of Uni PlaNet. The second edition of the “Youth for the Biosphere» Campus will be held from April 17 to 19, 2026, in the municipality of La Aldea de San Nicolás; it is a unique experience of coexistence and learning in the Gran Canaria Biosphere Reserve (RBGC). This activity is aimed at ULPGC students and young people from the island of Gran Canaria between 18 and 35 years old. The Campus is completely free and includes transportation (round trip) during the activities, accommodation at La Hoyilla Hostel (La Aldea de San Nicolás), meals, a project t-shirt, and access to all activities. Come and spend a different weekend where you can connect with the cultural and natural heritage of the Gran Canaria Biosphere Reserve, learn about the territory, biodiversity, and sustainable lifestyles, and discover the importance of the primary sector, environmental conservation, and responsible practices that protect our natural environment, all through activities such as workshops, dynamics, volunteering, hiking, cultural visits, and local meetings to strengthen the sense of belonging, conserve heritage, and promote responsible consumption and connection with the territory.
